How Do I Design My Custom Paint Job?

I am currently restoring my 36' Cig. Need help in how to design my custom paint. Will probably contract paint job out to someone on this forum, but wanted to design it myself. I have more time to work on design til its exactly what I want. Are there any computer programs, or do I have to draw it by hand?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

photoshop can be start

or if you know how to use it illustrator

or break out soem paper pens and markers and start drawing.
