That little Cummins is the chit, my brother has one in his trawler, but even it has its limitations .Unless your going for minimal draft there is no gain going with a arneson though the Pulse will give you a better shaft angle compared to a direct drive inboard but props are pricey.
You going cat like a Corithian or mono , open water commutes? Water conditions ?

On his instagram page there is a picture of the transport boat he uses. It's a mono hull.

All of the daily operated commercial boats in the US run suzuki 300s. A lot of Corinthian tour boats around here, and most tow boats. The freedom fleet is Yamaha.

Yamahas are good. They just come with tiny lame props to keep the load off the lower units.

Hey RM!

Great to see the resort is doing well!

Good luck with the boat upgrades.

ASD6 max HP and TQ

From the charts I've seen, the max tq was rated at 5200 rpm.

So more HP ar higher higher rpm, with dropping tq curve, should net a safe higher HP, as long as you use the higher rpm band. No mention of the various max tq from the varying ASD6 reduction ratios, or even the 1:1.
