I boat on the lake quite a bit. Hard to get a nice place on TX side with a beach. Not a fan of the homes off cliffs cause I fell down one once as a kid. You may consider the OK side just north of the damn around Cartwright area, just make sure there is a gated entrance. There are some pockets with beach access and it's still convenient from DFW there right off of 75, you don't have to cross the lake. Really, I'd stay open to homes all along the OK side from the Damn to Willow Springs Marina, which is a bit of a sh!thole. A lot of those homes have private slips and not all have beaches, but they don't have cliffs. Lots of marinas have dockominiums I always liked as well for the lack of maintenance required and never have to get off the water. Been a while since I've had a go-fast on the lake but am working on a 28 Saber I hope to have finished by the season.

Not sure what kind of place your looking for, but there is something for everyone. There is storage and a big ramp by the damn I use often, hardly ever much of a line, 6 lanes. Highport is the nicest marina, nice restaurant and sometimes has entertainment, but also lots of people. The Highport ramp is 2-3 lanes and alway's tons of traffic during season, probably one of the most used ramps in the area. There is nice boat storage there by the highport ramp as well. May have a hard time getting a slip right now if 35ft+. It's a flood control lake so it can rise like 25ft. When it does flood bad it will ruin most of the summer save for maybe Labor Day. World class striper fishing.

Midwest winters aren't remotely what they were when I was a teenager in the 70's. Most recent winters, if you can get thru Jan/Feb/First half March, it's pretty tolerable for the most part. What hasn't changed is the days/weeks on end sometimes where the sun never/rarely comes out to play. Can get pretty damn depressing.

I don't remember it being steep just used a lot so can get wet. Most of the go-fast come out of highport either slip or ramp, most by ramp.

Highport ramp is the spot. It’s not too steep and I’ve had no issues launch the 43 and 46 BT there years ago. Good parking as well.

Texoma is still one of my favorite lakes. I don't have much input for Texas side but the Oklahoma side is definitely coming back. Marina Del Rey area has a lot improvements.

I will shamelessly plug one of our videos from there 😂
