PM DeanFerry on here.

the boat will pass a survey no worries. Nice bog water boat, not the fastest but for the money a very nice cat.

i thought that was Deans, the 32B's might be my favorite Skater hull. Got the pleasure of running one for the day at Skaterfest several years ago. Yeah thats a heck of a deal then

32B skater or a 302 skater if you go the OB route.

id highly , highly recommended and a quality PPI on any sport boat you buy. And by PPI I don’t mean by any random surveyor taking pics of it and knocking around it.

I know nothing about the history or condition of this 32B, but it's priced very close to your target price of $150k with warrantied 400Rs. It's probably the cheapest deal you'll find on an outboard Skater in the 30' - 32' range that doesn't have old 2 strokes hanging off the back. It might be worth taking a closer look at.

I like the outboards better.

Looks like a nice boat.

Didn't Peter redesign the 32 into the 32B because the "A" performed best with the O/Bs and the 32B was better suited to the I/O power?

Possibly wider sponsons for housing the v8's???

I wouldn't say Pete redesigned the 32A into the 32B, as it's a completely different boat, with length being the only thing the same between the two. The 32A was what I would call one of the 2nd generation Skaters, being very similar to the 21 and 24 that it came after (1st gen Skaters were the 17, 18 and 18S which were nothing like the 21 or 24). The 32B is what I would call a 3rd gen Skater, being very similar to the 28, 36, 40 and 46 that came after the 21/24/32A, but before the 32B. If you look closely at the 21/24/32A, they are all very similar in design (2nd gen), whereas the 32B design is very similar to the 28/36/40/46 (3rd gen). I think it's hard to say the 32A performed best with O/Bs, knowing how many U.S. national titles and overseas world titles the 32A racked up in the I/O classes through the years. One thing is for sure, the 3rd gen design performs better with both outboards and inboards, seeing as Pete never built another model based on the early 2nd gen designs.

I have first hand knowledge of that boat, i repainted it several years ago restoring and retaining most of the original graphics and just changing a few colors to up date it a bit. Thats actually the boat i ran for the day at Skaterfest about eight years ago with its previous owner. This boat needs no survey (but get one anyway lol) it is very nice and it also has aluminum tanks. Very very fun boat . . .
