I don't completely dis-agree with the OP, however I don't really know that much about quality of the new build post take-over. Sure appears that there are new boats being delivered..............so their build quality is already being exposed ? Did the new owners at Cig not retain the employee's that were their already or have they left b/c the ownership is a clown show ?

Bud isn't there anymore. Not sure about anybody else. I will say everybody in the front office is useless. There are some ferocious rumors going around. But you know how rumors go. Braver era boats were impeccably rigged. Just from looking the the 515 at the Miami show last year, they have lost a bit of that fit and finish. Certainly hope they turn it all around. I mean c'mon. Its Cigarette, dammit!

^^^^ If that was a first boat that wasn't yet completed I would give them a pass. In '05 the first 39 Nor-Tech Vee was on display outside the Convention Center and I remember it not being quite done in the cabin and I think engine compartment or rear seat area. But it also wasn't being displayed as a finished product.

Unfortunately I keep coming back to the jet ski - taking another manufacturers product, slapping cigarette stickers on it and passing it off as their own work. OK - so giving them the benefit of the doubt - maybe they do have a partnership with Belassi, maybe they are developing it together, maybe they've licensed it, who knows. But the Cigarette presentation of it at the MBS as their own work is pretty shocking to me. Its akin to a group homework assignment but instead of taking the time to rewrite in your own words, you cross off your partners name , put your name on it, and pass as your own. The worrisome thing to me, is that Cigarette has now developed a track record of this type of behavior - and IMO has repeatedly destroyed their own credibility, reputation, and integrity.
Now I'm not in the market for a $2m boat - but I can't imagine I'd be willing to work with a builder that carries itself as such.

I would hope to see some other pics from owners that are experiencing QC issues after delivery. I would think it wise to see them and would hope the ownership would adjust as needed. Not withstanding $100 hats and un-educated posts on social media, feedback from current & past owners should be allowed and might give a sense of directional changes that need to take place. There are growing pains that take place from most transfers of ownership on the manufacturing side. If there are multiple issues in differing department durring assembly/production there is a larger problem. If one or two person are responsible for certian rigging techniques sometimes you can isolate it, adjust or remove that staff thats tasked with the job. The new ZO6 Vette has poped 2 engines in the last month after only a few months since first deliveries. Cooked rod bearings just after 500mi break-in..................it does happen, not giving Cig a pass but as an owner of a 2014 CC I want to see for myself, if the newer boats are turds then I wanna know. Can't afford a new CC but used may be attainable and if these more recently produced boats have issues in mass I want to know.
