Florida Beaches

How far North from Fort Myers do you have to travel to access open beaches? Trying to help my daughter plan her Spring Break. Thanks in advance!

Drove the Ft Myers beach area last week its a mess most hotels and condos are still off limits and closed. I would think the next area would be Sarasota or Clearwater. Although lots of small towns like Venice and Siesta Key are open just already very packed.

PS have a place in Bonita Springs South of Ft Myers and those beaches are still closed as well

And be very careful of the Red Tide, I was in Naples bay last weekend, many dead fish, people were boating with masks on.

Changed flight to Atlantic side, thanks for the info.

I was going to say this side, different vibe and water from the gulf side. This far north really low key, Daytona and just south more of a party beaches.

Of course Ft Lauderdale and south everyone know what that is.

I would imagine the inland run-off was so strong that nitrogen levels are still elevated. Yea its been months but the rain totals inland were nothing thats been seen before.
