Anyone know if they still do the great race in Trinidad and Tobago. Looks like some of the boats are for sale…

I seen that was talking the other day that it seemed like all the fountain race boats ended up in Trinidad.

Its still an active event. Pretty cool boats participating. Tried to post the hyperlink but needed ten posts. Google it.

They used to make sweet race videos…but that stopped in 2015. Atleast I haven’t seen one since. Unfortunate.

As Larsindroth stated back in May, the race is this Saturday - new class of smaller boats being added.

With Joey Sabeeney's Motul Monster 46 Skater team taking a break from the race this year, maybe some other boats will actually have a chance at winning for once. :D The combination of big Sterling power in a 46 Skater has made that team pretty much unbeatable year after year. The unique water conditions of that race are just incredible, unlike anything we ever see here in the U.S. - it makes for some of the greatest offshore racing on earth imo. It's a good thing they have a 130mph top speed limit for the race, or there would probably be some horrific accidents as the boats transition from the smooth protected waters to the open water swells.

Those Monster vids from Great Race are my favorites. Can't imagine any V hulls hangin with a 46 Skater
