If you look close in the first set of pix, you can see the damage on Tommy Bahama from the accident with Hidden Agenda towards the stern.

Very nice pics!!! Thanx for sharing.

When asked about the damage to the boat, after the race, a Tommy Bahama crew member said someone had ran over them. He did not say who it was.

No one really claims responsibility for the accident but there was contact obviously. Hidden Agenda took out the turn 5 buoy when it happened so the race was delayed while it was replaced. Chris and Jamin were both OK, just scratched up. The tunnel tab was ripped off, tie bar bent, and damage to the left sponson. The left engine hatch was stuck closed. Anyway, they came in under their own power on one engine. Race control had a hell of a time lining everyone back up.

Thanks for the information Becca. I still do not understand if the accident occured before Hidden Agenda rolled or if the accident caused the roll.
It looks like Hidden Agenda was not the only boat to take out a marker: |
From the looks of it, I would think that the roll and flip caused the impact w/ TB upon landing.
Becca, I remember that...I was listening to my VHF and what a mess...many were arguing on who lines up where. Some comments got hot. |
Do you guys know if Instigator spun out or rolled on saturday's race? It was neck in neck with nick carter, then all of the sudden it was a couple of minutes behind..thanks
|
I think the WHM bouy spearing happened on Wednesday. There was a new nickname going around:
Ram Bouy Thought it was pretty funny. |

I am glad someone took some pictures of Ray Anthony's Turbine Powered Nor-Tech. I didn't have the opportunity to take any pictures of my own because I was too busy driving the boss & his guests around all weekend. I also want to thank Mr. Anthony for having confidence in my ability to design and build him his first turbine boat. If you have any more running shots of the boat I would love to see them:
Thank you, John Arruda Turbine Marine Inc. [email protected] :D |
