sad part is I do nto know what it was :(
I uninstalled my virus prtection yup no rubber on :(
probably should not advertize that :( :)
but it is now working
I will have to go back and recheck settings to see what is allowed

what error message are you getting

no error message just not doing anything.. starts connecting to irc.hashnet.org667...... and won't go any further.. (I do have a cable modem)

how long are you waiting, what browser are you using

does it say manchester- looking up host name? are you getting that far? are you saying yes to the irc applet window?

does it allow you to type?? if so are you abble to see what you typed?
this is what happened to me and it was in the virus protection settings
I will have to go back and figure just what I need to get it to work

tried in AOL and IE.. same thing... I waited a few minutes

I am getting to the point about there it used to say "give me a monent to authenticate you" can't see who is in there or anything

Nothin.... it just stays there and does nothing

webmaster is trying to resolve that, other people have reported the same probem

I dont even have the link to the chat on my screen. Using IE. Any suggestions?

Nope. Nothing there.

Its on the main menu bar---the same one with the "forums" and "classifieds" etc.
