Gotta be the rubber hub in the propellor, post a picture of the type prop you have.
from memory (1984-1989) the volvo prop hubs have what looks like the thrust washer from a merc prop built cast as part of the splined barrel the rubber hub is on so when it is pressed in the thrust washer fits inside and flush to the prop hub, and you cant see the rubber like on a merc. Stamp or scratch the prop hub and the part that looks like the thrust washer, the marks wont be aligned after a boat ride. Any prop shop can press in a new one. I'll try to find a pic of a volvo prop splined hub. |
