Might get some more replies if you explain what you have going on?
You rebuilding? Need one for a budget repair because just one is damaged?

I'd guess the stock ones are just hypereutectic.
And I believe the 350, 6.2/377, and even the 4.3 might of used the same piston.
My first thought in a factory LKQ rebuild replacement without the price gouging of Mercury would be Silvolite.

Boatnt,

Why not just order a set from JE?

Thanks. Brad.

rebuilding a engine with a bad piston, Merc has discontinued the piston, it is a piston made specifically for a 6.2,
4.3-5.0-5.7 all use a different piston as skirt is longer
hard piston to find I am sure demand is low, but Silvolite is about the only ones offering it from my finding, had to order a complete set as you cant buy just one which is best i replace all anyways.

Thanks

How soon are you looking for an answer? I had 7 of them at one point and they may still be in my garage.

I don't know if this is an option for you, but lookup www.dssracing.com

I just bought a semi custom set of pistons from them for my race car. Forged right here in Chicago, USA.

Got a buddy that recently had a 6.2 rebuilt as it had a smoked piston. If tmmii doesn't come thru I can ask him if the builder gave him back any of the parts. He ended up making a 383 out of it.

Yeah, I was misled by the "where used" heading for the 350 piston HERE
I missed the 5.0 liter in that listing, that should of been my first clue.

Folks rebuild 6.2 all the time, nothing anymore special about the 6.2 then any other SBC. Determine how much the block will be bored and buy a new set up pistons

I’ll check sometime this week. From what I remember the older ones (maybe all of them?) had piston issues. The top ring is too close to the top of the piston and caused it to be weak around there and chip/break apart.
