Lots of talent building boats in TN.
More then a few companies up there, relatively lower cost. |

I have never heard of Brazil being well known for boat building excellence for performance boats or for any boat. Those are facts not subjective opinion or ignorance. I have never ever saw an advertisement for a new or used boat for sale that has “made in Brazil” as the hook to persuade the buyer that this is the best product in the marketplace.
There are zero preconceived notions, my opinion is based on 60 years of experience, there was zero white versus nonwhite racial bias in this thread as posted earlier by Nate 5.0 in post #30 (fyi my wife is beautiful dark complexion Cuban woman). The bottomline is Brazil does not now nor has ever been known for excellence in manufacturing performance boats. There is no ignorance, just opinion by others in support of Statement that are counter to the other posts in this thread. Discussion is good. And … I do like the Statement Cat and 42 foot V so I am not anti-Statement, I wish Statement continued success. But to assert some posts are ignorant about the facts of subbing out boat manufacturing to a Brazilian factory is not accurate. This is just not a common practice by the performance boat industry. Hire talent, pay a fair wage, employ Florida workers, if built in Florida, and continue with great success. Statement boats have a great reputation. For someone that has a lot.of facts you sure don't know much about Statement in Brazil vs Statement in Florida. They do employ FL people and workers, the 42 is not built or touched in Brazil. My point was just cause you have not seen or touched a performance boat out of Brazil that doesn't mean it can't be built with quality and its ignorant to think they cant. |

There is nothing ignorant about my comment, please continue with your advocacy for the Brazilian built performance boats sold in America. I completely disagree with your point of view. I am not now nor in the future a prospective buyer for Statement boats, primarily for the product being out of my price range.
Statement built boats in the USA and leases a name to build in Brazil building a quality product on both ends. |

Then why disparage a boat you will never buy simply cause it's built some place else?
Statement built boats in the USA and leases a name to build in Brazil building a quality product on both ends. Again, I did not disparage the Statement name. I will not reply or comment again about this topic or Statement boats. I wish you and Statement boats nothing but success. |
