Mercury Racing Verado L4 200
 

This engine caught my attention, just noticed two different boat ads with these same engines.

Anyone here that can share a bit of experience about them? Why they were decommissioned? Are they good fit for a 24-25 skater or cougar cat with twins and what performance could be achieved?

I tried to search the internet for information. In general there is a lot to read about the Verado L6, not so much about this L4 - which on paper seems to be able to deliver 2stroke performance and weight from a 4stroke engine

Anyone that has an idea? I found some info on the hull truth, related to fishing boats. But so far no experience in offshore power boat setting
