Comparing the following CC's
Possibly switching to a CC from a 33 AT Evolution. Have looked at a 35 STATEMENT with twin 400, 34cc FOUNTAN with trip 400, 32ccx SUNSATION with twins. NOR-TECH and MTI's are out of our price range. Wife liked the STATEMENT because of the room in the back and swim platform. We would appreciate any advice on brands, build quality, ride, and speed of a CC.

Concept may be another to look at if you want a 8 foot beam that is trailerable.
|
If you care about resale I would buy a couple year older 34 Nor-Tech over a statement, fountain or sunsation.

I would take a close look at AMP. If it is as nice in person as it looks in the pictures and videos then it would be a top choice for me, especially with the pricing of some of the others out there.

Following. I'm looking at the same options.

I'm not even remotely in the market, but what about Deep Impact?

Have you seen what they are asking for a 32ccx? I get it's asking price but they aren't under 300k for even a 6-7 year old boat!
Boats will soon follow as the game of supply and demand fluctuates prices/values. Being 302Sport buys and sells a lot of boats, his advice on a used 34 Nortech isn't bad advice. The NT is also a less trendy style compared to boats like the 32 CCX with fancy paint/bling. I like Sunsation but when they get loaded up the MSRP gets crazy. |
Idk what you're looking to spend, but there's a decent number of 2013-2018 34 Nor-techs listed from $215K to $370K. Also, are you limited with LOA? Because if you're not, 37 Midnight, 39 Nor-tech, and 39 Cigarette can all be found in that $300K range.

I should have entered a little more information. Have been looking mainly at used boats. The slip is 42X12, with a 12,000 lbs lift. Just got the slip and lift recently. The boat needs to fit those perimeters. Thanks for everyone’s suggestions.

That is a beautiful looking boat.
|
I love that Statement!! Colors are so classy and will never go out of style, unlike most of the schemes we see these days.
|
Thanks,
YTown42X I appreciate the info. We like the look of the custom painted Statement also. The extra width when in the boat is nice compared to the Sunsation. Have been told the twin engine boat rides a little better. I of course like the extra speed of trips. The advantage of twins is also swimming. The ladder is way better. The wife loves to get in the water at LOTO and we now live here. |
Here's a gorgeous 35' Statement. I'm fairly certain he will take the 33' Active Thunder on trade as well. That may/may not help you on sales tax.

went over to a CC back in 2019, LOTO is a differing animal as your aware with respect to water conditions. The Sunsation model seemed to have issues with spray coming over the bow on a busy day, In as much that anyone that wasn't behind the helm got wet. A reputable salesman with decades of LOTO boating was at the wheel too. Sure there fine boats that being said............... . If your looking and found something locally at LOTO I would certainly give it a real good look over with respect to its build quality too. In the price point your looking at several year old models and to be frank if they were driven by un-experienced operators they may show it, these boats were not designed at LOTO and our conditions reveal short comings in the best of boats IMO until they work the bugs out. Happy hunting

Be different than the other hundreds of guys with center consoles on LOTO and get a VanDutch 40. The wife will be happy!!

We love our 38 Statement and my Dad has a 35. The build quality are great and the way they are set up they do offer a great value for the money. Also, the guys at Statement Marine have been great to work with. I got a new dash and Garmin electronics from them for a great price to bring it everything up to date.

Bais of course but a 35 Statemwnt is hard to beat.
As was said, even used you can reach out to the folks at Statemwnt and theybare there tonhelp, answer questions, and be there if you need them. Nick prides himself in that. The boat is built great and rides better. I prefer the ride of the 35 over the 3i8 personally. The 400s on a 38 are a tuen key and run boat, it is very happy. The trips these days are very impressive and they can modify the swim platforms for ladders. Great friend just did that as we are sandbar sluts ourselves on weekends so in and out is a big deal. the re-sale while not NT strong is still overall good and again it is something Nick and the team at Statemwnt can even help you with as someone is always looking. |

Cant beat the 35 Statement for ride quality and overall value. Its one of the driest riding 35 hulls out there and the small amount of rocker in the hull gives it a great angle of attack that works really well in rough water conditions. I have sold and run countless 35 Statements with both twin and triple engine configurations . Nortech and Sunsation also build great boats but I dont think you can beat the Statement when it comes to value, overall ride quality or fit and finish.
I do have a super clean 2022 35 Statement coming in with Twin 450's . Owner is moving up to a new 38 Statement with Tri 500R's. I also have a 2019 35 Statement with Twin 350 Mercs coming in later this week |
love the Statements but not crazy about having a giant "STATEMENT" name down the side, does anyone know it its painted or vinyl graphics?
