I'm Back and Thank You.

It's been quite a while since I've had the honor to join my fellow boat guys on this forum.

Life's been a roller coaster ride for a while with ups and downs like I never expected, but you guys know the old saying: "Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger".

First of all I want to thank you guys for the positive feedback you provided in my defense. It means more because you did it on the strengh of only one side of the story. I was always of the belief that Excuses are for Losers, but what I plan to share with you are REASONS, not excuses. I'll wait while you go get the popcorn.

Those of you that REALLY know me know how I run my business and my ethics.

I'm proud to tell you that by truly caring about my customers and striving for perfection in my job I have built my company far beyond my expections. It's not so hard when you love what you're doing and God has blessed you with the ability to understand what is important or nonsense. When consumer confidence was strong in the past it was not uncommon for me to be booked for surveys two to three weeks in advance. Customer travel to SE Florida, marina short-hauls for surveys, hotel accommodations, etc.are usually also scheduled well in advance. During times of uncertain weather here in South Florida, unexpected machinery breakdowns at marinas, it's not always easy to have everything perfectly fall into place. When the economy was normal sometimes during a survey I was getting three to five calls an hour for fresh survey bookings. If I hear my phone ring, I answer it. Many times when someone calls with a crazy request I think it's my buddy, Dino, who is a jokester, just messing with me. Sometimes even the most reasonable person only hears what they WANT to hear. I know this is true because sometimes I've been guilty of this myself. For me to leave this area to perform a survey in Missouri or wherever I would need at least three days and maybe a fourth to recuperate from the traveling. To accomplish this on short notice is impossible the way I work and schedule. Even with unexpected cancellations beyond anybodys' control I could not have fit into Klawans plan, and I TOLD HIM THIS ON OUR FIRST CONTACT. I told him I would call him if I had any cancellations that would make his plan even remotely possible, but I highly doubted it. I am sorry I never called him back, but deep-down he KNEW I couldn't accommodate what he needed on the time-table he presented.

Sorry 105Fountain. My name is Ed Cozzi and my company is Performance Marine Surveyors, Inc.
I was reponding to two threads in the BEWARE section that were designed to hurt my business.

I was presumptuous to assume you didn't know. Was the WTF necessary?

Thank you. Do you have a Fountain that can go 105 MPH? I sold Fountains for Everglades Marina in Ft. Lauderdale from January 1987 until April 1993.
Reggie and I are old buddies.

Please visit my website and you'll get a kick out of who I used to be in the old days!

I just used Ed for a TG I recently bought from Lip-Ship and things couldn’t have been any smoother. Answered all my calls showed up when he said he was going to and to find that in Miami is like finding the golden egg.

Ed was a contributor here for many years and generous with his time. I called him regarding my PowerPlay purchase for any tidbits I should know before I went through the transaction and he was most generous with his time. I appreciated that remember it well. Good to have you back!

Welcome back to OSO Ed. Are you having problems logging in under your old screen name?? Or do you not have access to your OSO email address anymore?? Your registered email is cozman1@bel*****.net
If you still have access to that email address, then click the forgot password in the log in box.

Next, I guess I'm wondering why you are posting in General Discussion and responding to a 7 year old thread that nobody took very seriously???

Good Morning Griff: I have not used that email address in years. After Renee passed I was lost for awhile. I couldn't bear to live in the house in Davie anymore so I lost it. Then my younger brother Jimmy died suddenly. Then I needed a triple bypass followed by a pulmonary embolism in my lower left lung.
I'm not complaining...I'm still here! I just posted because I wanted to thank you guys for having my back when I was down. Business seems to be on the rebound and I'm slowly making things right.
Tomorrow Susan goes in for back surgery. She's scared, but she needs the quality of her life back. My mother passed at 96 last April 25th. This was the first Easter without her. Seemed strange.

You guys don't realize how those posts helped me get through some tough times. God Bless you crazy guys.
