If so, we are looking at towing the Checkmate up for the weekend and staying on the boat.

Looks like the Wildwood Marina is the best place to use for home base?

Appears to have a ramp and transient docks.

Keep an eye on Fakebook for info. That was the main source of info for the races last year.

I would not use Wildwood to keep your stuff at. Not sure if you can get a transient at the Mentor Lagoons or Mentor Harbor yacht club, but that would be my first choice. (If you're a member of another yacht club, they may honor that)

Hopefully someone can chime in with better info.

I used google maps and didn’t see much in local offerings for a ramp/dockage.

I filled out an info request on their site and have not heard back.

Still in the air for us anyhow.

We ran it a few years ago and had a lot of fun. Square water for sure

Ramps I can help with: Mentor Lagoons (they craned the big offshore boats in there years ago. The ramps are fine for most boats though)

Grande River has ramps in Fairport Harbor.

Can't help much with the dockage though. I can only think of the Mentor Harbor Yacht Club for having a number of large transient slips.

Both of those locations are somewhat close to Eastlake. In good water, Mentor would be 10-15 min ride and Fairport can be 20-30 mins
