bouyhunter, those are the fuel gauges 6 of them, you can mowe the fuel around to trim the boat depending on the condition of the sea. Cool isenīt it!

Ron P 12-04-2002 03:12 PM

I'd say less than 100K would be a steal.

bouyhunter 12-04-2002 03:18 PM

VERY COOL!!!!!!

hey - you learn something every day -

wouldn't that still be difficult to do while running hard ??

Sydwayz 12-04-2002 03:20 PM

Wow, with all that fuel on board, I would be interested in that boat's history or 'use' shall we say. I would go over it with a fine tooth comb to look for inconsistancies in the story of the boat. I am not going to overly stereotype, but boats built with that much fuel on board have a certain stigma about them.
I think I really like that deck. I have never seen it before. With an updated dash, and a good cleaning, I would venture to say under 100K would be a steal as well. If I were shopping for it, maybe even 125K.

HiPerf2000 12-04-2002 03:24 PM

Wow...beautiful boat !! Did that come factory staggered?

I Like how the key switches are also staggered :)

MitchStellin 12-04-2002 03:30 PM

Those are some tabs on that thing:D Check very close around the hatches. I had a Donzi with the same hatch design and it cracked all the way across the deck and down the sides. Look close especially if it was repainted. This can be a sure sign.

PhantomChaos 12-04-2002 03:33 PM

Goiod looking..........but the yellow in the photos looks too pale. Maybe it isn't in person.

Why is one blower belt loose, and the other one not on there?

Sydwayz 12-04-2002 03:39 PM

Good catch hi-perf-2000 on the keys. I like that too. Lets stagger everything, guages, gear shifts, throttles... OK, maybe a bad idea, but the keys are trick.

Those aren't K-planes, those are surfboards.

The yellow and the white of the hull look pale and dingy to me too. It could be the lighting. I would like to see it with a full and very expertly done detail and buffing.

I noticed the blowers lacking too PC... leading to more info undisclosed?

You'll get plenty of opinions on this board, but what matters most is how you feel about the boat and what it's worth to you...

Check out boattraderonline.com to gauge pricing...you'll find this boat in the 130 range(USD)...

Personally, I'd stick with the Top Gun you currently own...it's worth more and is more desirable(given equal powertrains)...

Good luck and keep those great pics coming!

buckknekkid 12-04-2002 04:40 PM

check out the flag

there are lots of these floating around in Europe with huge fuel loads

Zoomnfun 12-04-2002 05:19 PM

I agree with Sean, stick with the Gun unless its a steal.

Isn't that a 42' Revolution?
Ken

puder 12-04-2002 08:15 PM

my ex girlfriend's fathe rused to have a 42' rev like that. I know he used to pop drives all the time. I've heard they run best with bravos BUT with big or average (500hp) power you pop the bravos. Search eth archieves i know there was thread about SSM an 42' revs and wierd handling with SSM.

With a little updating on the dash it could be pretty trick.

Bosco 12-04-2002 09:06 PM

That is an Evo, and I have always loved the look. No cockpit though. With the big power and a sound hull a hot boat in any sea. Value is another issue, were talking about a teenager here. The important thing is how well has she been maintained. All to often Hi-performance boats are run hard and put away wet.
Could be some seriouse mechanical issues to deal with, and they would add to the - side of this equation.

The plus is name brand recognition, good engine builder and the proper equipment for the use. I'll say $70,000.00 if everything is present and in working order. Check comparables and and good luck with it.

Cigaretteman 12-05-2002 04:42 AM

anybody else ?

Biggus 12-05-2002 08:18 AM

Did anyone see the 42 Revolution that was on ebay last winter? It was set up very similar with fresh power and on a nice trailer. The boat sold for 62,000. I think a friend of "the spy" bought it.

It`s a cool boat but it seems the 42 does not hold its value like a Top Gun.

Cigaretteman 12-06-2002 06:34 AM

ttt

Bill272 12-06-2002 07:21 AM

I think I saw something on OSO last year talking about how the Revolution had problems, either with porpoising or flexing or something. They didn't make it for very long, which might tell you something. Since you are looking for opinions, I'd go with a top gun before a revolution. The styling does nothing for me, especially next to the lines of the gun or even the cafe. Just a little too Batmobile-like for my taste. To each his own though. Good luck.

Sean 12-06-2002 09:07 AM

You know...I've been thinking and also judging by the number of pics Cigaretteman has posted ifthe Revolution is more popular in Europe because of it's styling? It has a "Euro" look to it and I've heard ALOT of Cigarettes have been sold in Europe...

It could very well be that because of the styling of the boat, it is more desireable than the Top Gun; handling problems notwithstanding...

Craig would know for sure about the numbers...but it is certainly something to think about...

wannabe 12-06-2002 09:16 AM

I Agree

The Euro look of the Revolution is similar to many of the boats I have seen over there. I have spent many vacations yachting in the Med. and the look of the boats is very different there.

Howeever, I did not see a Revolution in St. Tropez where there is a Cig. dealer there. The boats were all Top Guns and Cafe's.

Oh, I did see on those 60' Magnums.
