boating lake Hopatcong nj
I'm about 80 miles from lake Hopatcong ...want to splash my 35 cig in freshwater ..I know it's not a large lake just want to run fresh water through the engines
can anybody with lake Hopatcong boating experience tell me where I can stay for a week with dock space?... or any suggestions would be really helpful ...Thanks, |
On my way home from a lake in penn last year, I was going to splash my 12' inflatable. My wife and I drove around the lake (in truck) and headed home. It is a VERY small lake. By the time you got on plane in a 35, you would have to turn around. 😜 I would be bored there for a day, let alone a week. Just my 02

Sorry to hear of your troubles.
A little further away is lake wallenpaupack in penn. My wife and I had a nice time there. Nice state park up north to launch at. Sorry I can't help to much with docks and such. |
U gotta talk to Curt, that’s his home lake

I use to live and boat on the lake. I had a 22 Talon and could cross the largest part of the lake at speed in about 45 seconds. It’s an absolute mess on the weekends and there are several speed and wake restrictions that you research before going. I’d suggest a weekday. The state park at the southern tip of the lake has a decent launch and you don’t have to deal with a long stretch of no wake at the northern end but I’m sure someone with better recent knowledge will chime in. BTW Lake Hopatcong was the original home of Sutphen Powerboats before Richie Sr moved to Florida. Richie Jr also built there for several years. Good luck.
