Even Madder Props—DCB Creates M37R Artwork For Second-Time Owners
#11
Thanks everyone. Sorry for delay in responding, but we were in OshKosh for our first run with the boat.
The DCB team killed it on the new build. Just amazing.
The cowling wings are a different idea on controlling exhaust reversion on the 450/500 boats. Most of the ideas have been to add in scoops to collect more fresh air from the front and force it in. The wings are designed to jet away the exhaust completely. They seem to work well because there is zero soot on the rear of the motors. I was told they looked to have much cleaner rear air by some of the boats running with us and other 450/500 boats in the run.

We are not running comparable props(yet) but I can definitely say the mid-range and turning are noticeably better on the 500s. The skeg/lower seem to really upgrade the handling. The real tests will come at Boyne and LOTO in a few weeks after the regular props arrive.
For us the new boat is exceptional, and we are proud to own another DCB work of art.
