Flip Up Windscreen/Deflector that Clamps to Windshield Frame?

I've been searching google and only found really old threads with dead links. Does anyone know where I can find a set to clamp on the top of my windshield frame?

I prefer to run my boat standing for visibility but have tinnitus and the wind really whips up the ringing in my ears. I've been riding with my hand at the top of the windshield making a deflector but it's time to see if I can find a real product out there.

Something like this except clamping to the windshield frame is what I'm looking for:

Thanks in advance for suggestions.

Like these? https://windaways-texas.com

Agreed….. windaways. Just used them on my boat. Can sit or stand now and can carry a conversation with your co pilot.

Ditto. Headsets protect your ears and also allows easy communication.

Ordered the Windaway 18" set today. My boat is not fast enough to justify headsets.

I absolutely loved my Wind-Aways, but I clamped them to my windscreen on my old Nordic instead of a bar like you have. All the Nordic windscreen did was precisely redirect the wind right into your face.

Hey, I got your order today and will probably be able to ship it out on Friday or Saturday. Your order is for a set of deflectors that clamp to the windshield frame. I'm hoping your picture is only for display and not what you have. I do have some brackets that will fit over a grab bar, but they haven't been tried yet. I'm hoping to try them on my boat this summer and then maybe offer them for sale in the fall. In the mean time, I'll get these to you as soon as I can. thanks

What's the trick to keep the wind noise out of the mic? I have a foam ball on mine, but it's doesn't help much. Maybe a small deflector would work, attached right to the mic boom.

Cover the front of the foam with a piece of tape, helps.

I`m suprised nobody does a rear seat deflector that goes behind the seats like a convertible car .
The wind in the backseats at 100+ can be a lot.. and the girls hair gets all knotted and I`m tired of hearing about it :D

about a minute in ... the deflector behind the seats ..

Performance Boat Center was working on one a few years ago, not sure what happened to it

Dan,

We don't run 100MPH (unfortunately), but....

My wife wears a baseball hat all day, with her hair pony-tailed through the hole in the back. Whenever we are underway, she rolls it into a ball and tucks it under the hat. It's certainly not a be-all, end-all solution, but it sure seems to help in keeping the knots at bay

FWIW.... I'm not, in any way, pretending to think your wife doesn't already know this "trick".... :ernaehrung004:

Thanks. Brad.

How does she keep the hat on?

Padraig,

Depending on throttle position, usually one hand on the grab bar and one on top of her head. When we're just cruising, no need to hold the hat on; she's right behind the windshield.

Thanks. Brad.

That's why I gave up on hats. One hand On wheel, the other working throttle and trim. Oops, there goes hat.

Just messing with you, Brad.

Padraig,

All good.

I typically toss my hat into the cuddy whenever we’re underway. Same reasons.

Thanks. Brad.

Yep, that was one of the reasons we went with the 8 seat.

You could also just get a canopied boat…
