Wet/Dry...powerful...rugged. I use it for everything and hasn't let me down.

I forgot. I have the Ridgid 18V cordless vacuum and the 18V "dustbuster" too. They both work great.

I have a small dirt devil too (Old #103 cast aluminum front end).
Has the beater brush on the front.
Really like a mini old school carpet vac.
It is a 110v that takes more juice than a small (like 400watt)invertor puts out.
But that thing still works GREAT.
I was bummed a few years ago when the original belt for the brush finally broke.
Got a few new ones and still use it.
Our pontoon has a short nap textured berber med. blue carpet.
The dirt devil works great on that stuff.
Haven't used it much since getting cordless stuff, because I do either have to drag extension cord or get bigger invertor out.
But, it does a much better job than just vac w/o the roller brush.

Leaf Blower is my tool for that problem, about 15 seconds and it's clean.

All of the mainstream companies make them like dewalt and kobalt etc. I know you said you didn't want that style but if you already have the tools/batteries seems like a no brainer to add a vacuum to the lineup. Just my .02

Same here .
I have 3 Milwaukee vacuums including the big boy and they all are great.. no more wires is even better . Batterries last a long time I probably recharge em once a summer .

How do you clean the carpet in the cuddy?

TomZ 07-11-2024 04:24 PM

I have an older Bissell "Pet Hair Eraser: dust-buster-ish handheld that I've used for years - the battery is finally going in it but it works so well that I'm going to make a new battery pack to keep it going. One charge would last a month using it every weekend. I cleaned the cuddy carpet, berth and couches, and the cockpit any time we were on the boat. Used Carpet Fresh in the cuddy, too - the boat always smelled nice.

Mine came with beater brush and nozzle attachments.

You can find these used and in good shape, cheap, on flea-bay. New ones are LiPo powered and under $100. Might even find that at Walmart.
