Most open cooled marine engines under a hatch are set up to run 140-160. Speaking with "people", this..... 496 Running A Bit Warm Very likely led to this.... Detonated Piston Or, at the very least, was a major contributing factor. We might not find a damned thing wrong with the cooling aspect of our engine. But, instead, that we had a progressing lean condition. Details matter. Mind them. Thanks. Brad. |
