Engelwood area

Hope everyone in Florida is doing ok, is anyone around Englewood? wondering how bad it was, we just booked flights and an airbnb last week for the races in November. Hoping they can get everything cleaned up before then.

I’m just north in Sarasota and had no wind damage but got a real storm surge this time. Should be a quick recovery.

We did not have tremendous hurricane windspeed in Englewood, but there was storm surge flooding, and tornado warnings. I will try to update you later today, I will take a drive out to Englewood Beach, if the road is open.

I had no storm damage, no power loss or no loss of internet service during the storm/hurricane in Rotonda West, so I too am good like your Aunt.

I will update you when I can regarding Englewood Beach. Englewood is OK.

Manasota Key (not sure how much debris/damage) and Casey Key (roadway washed out) which are north of Englewood Beach have issues with roadway damage and or debris.

Punta Gorda got a 5.5 Storm surge. Highest that I have seen in 25 years.

I haven’t heard an official statement about Sarasota but I think we had that much as well. Maybe a little more.

I was just out at Englewood Beach, the road in and out of where the race pits are was fine and where are the boats lineup at the Englewood Beach parking lot has lots of sand but excavators are removing it.

Because of the storm clearly damage ground level single-family homes/dwellings lined with the water soaked damaged items.

The Manasota Key Resort looked ok, other then excessive sand in the parking lot.
