Instead of cutting up the deck, which is what probably needs to happen to get the fresh water tank out, why not just cut up the fresh water tank which is just plastic then replace the bilge pump as needed. Then find a new, smaller fresh water tank and fabricate some brackets to reinstall the new tank in the same general area. Good luck.

This is what I figured might end up happening, Probably a good idea to get a new tank anyways, as I think its the original. Thanks for the advice.

my 88 261 is different the
fwd bilge pump is right under the removable box on the step before the cabin
i am looking for the fresh water pump, as it no workie

Been tracing why fresh wayer pump for sink is not working
fixed a few wires
Found the hidden screws that held the fwd access cover on
Boom you csn get to everything
Stainless screws..are hmm non magnetic
So it took about 20 minutes probing with a smsll punch
