Liberty to Albany Endurance Run
 

For what started back in the early 1920’s and ran until the late 1960’s Albany to 72nd street NY Marathon.
I have decided to make an Endurance Run from the Statue of Liberty to Albany then back to Castleton on the Hudson Boat Club where the final years of the Marathon was hosted. So much history here that I never knew until I came across a Youtube video of the race from 1949 with 318 entries from 18 different states.
I covered alot of events on the Hudson River, especially the Fall Fun Runs in which Joe Sgro would donate his chopper to shoot photos and videos.
Joe and I had alot of history together on the Hudson River. It only makes sense to dedicate this event in his memory.

Yup! 2001 & 2002.
Difference here is I will be doing twice the distance than those Poker Runs. 👀
