Great interview on them in Powerboat this month.
|
Heard from a friend they did not have good enough weather/water conditions, ran about 170,will try official runs Friday. This is all second hand, may not be 100% accurate
|
I was out today by Egmont Key and the weather was HORRIBLE. I can't imagine they would want to try a Kilo run in this weather.

Weather was better than Monday in Sarasota though not ideal - made a couple of warm-up passes just after dawn and the crosswind limited handling at approx. 180mph. Headed to pit and waited for it to lay down. Returned to the course at about 9:00am. As it turns out the weather made no difference. Broke a drive on the warm-up run at 185mph and bounced N2 off the heavens.
Waiting to hear from BPM (Italy) on turn-around. The ratio is non-standard. The decision to postpone or cancel will depend on their response. Gordo, It was an APBA sanctioned event for the propeller driven speed record. |
Thanks Tachyon for the update. Sorry about the drive, Best of luck!!!!!!!! ;)
