"Passengers on the Littlefield boat told investigators they felt a bump and then saw another boat heading back to Meredith. They concluded the two boats collided gunwale-to-gunwale but saw no damage and continued on."

Is it not the obligation of any boatsman to render aid to any other vessel in distress as long as his vessel is not put into a dangerous situation?

This guy deserves anything and everything the law can throw at him.

Funny, there's no mention if he was charged with DUI or if he was even tested.
Was he?

He should've stopped to see if anyone needed assistance or was injured.
Doing that is the same as hitting another car and driving off, it's called "leaving the scene of an accident".

How can you run up & over a boat & NOT KNOW IT? If those are the facts.

What, do you think they will say they knew they hit it but thought they could get away? Just remember, what goes around, ocmes around 3x stronger.

From what I read, the suit is against Danny. Don't know what Bill Sr's liability is, if any, as the boats owner.

Is Dan the one that had the vette at the marina when, or if he worked there or was that his brother?

AA~

That is Bill jr., Dan's older brother who just bought Shep Browns, he is the car nut with the conv. Vette. He has that Bad-AZZ green Nova too, with the 502 that came out of a new Baja... Puts out about 1,200 hp right now, NO BLOWER, w/NOS. Seriously sick car, will carry the front wheels to the 1/8 mi. mark on the track and smoke the tires doing it! And he drives it to work to boot. Put an OD trans. in it, gets about 6 MPG in the city and 10 on the HWY. Drove it to FLA and back without missing a single beat, and no probs.
