I'm de-clutteting the storage room in my basement, going through boxes. I ran across this tee shirt. Almost 20 years ago, damn I'm old.
Sydwayz used to put this together and in a few years, it went from a few people to a huge event. Heck, just booking the Worx required a pretty large crowd. There was even a Friday night "Prime the Pumps" party.
Good times!

Yeah, I kind of do.
That was so much work. It's so hard to make 200-400 type-A powerboater personalities happy at the same time.
It turned into early registration night for the Jammin' on the James Poker Run, so you could land the best slip on the party dock. Cignificant handled that back in the day!
It was SO worth it though!
I think 2006 was our biggest/best year: ~400 people or so, our own nightclub, our own bus between the host hotel, pre-game bar, and the Canal Club.
We had folks from Florida to Maine to Minnesota show up; and eventually the same theme was duplicated all over the country.
The first one was at the Hooters in Fredericksburg, VA with just Mid-Atlantic folks. We overran the place, and while they enjoyed the party, we were not invited back!
The remaining events were in Richmond. I always hosted them the weekend between the last NFL playoffs and the SuperBowl, so attendance was always strong.
That's awesome on the T-shirt Joey! I know I don't have of those left, but I have a coffee mug with the same logo somewhere; a gift from an attendee.
