DCB Grand Opening, Part II, Attracts 500-Plus Guests

By all accounts, a superb celebration of a new space for DCB and the brand itself, https://speedonthewater.com/dcb-gran...0-plus-guests/

That place is badass for sure. You have to respect the guys "owner and employees" who display that type of pride to build boats in a facility that is nicer then 95% of the boat showrooms in America. All of that also equals big overhead that is on your doorstep every month. I sincerely hope that we have a lot more gear heads in our future generations (with the ability to purchase boats at this level) then what I am currently exposed to. There will be a lot of boomers dropping out of the "the hardcore" performance scene in the next 10 years as there has been over the last 10. The majority seem to find fulfillment in a overpowered center console and I can't say that I blame them.

Did you just call us old? :D

Yep--I already find myself wanting to take the NorTech instead of the cat sometimes. You could never have convinced me that it would be the case just a couple years ago. I certainly hope that our hobby attracts some eager and capable young people quickly.

I was there and everything was first class. The attention to detail in everything they do is amazing. The exposed carbon fiber on the hull and the gel work is incredible. Also the fit of the cap to hull is just precise. Pretty cool to show an unfinished boat to really see the build process.

Totally agree. A couple of years ago at Barret Jackson my brother in law and I (I am not a car guy but appreciate them) enjoyed looking at all of the 60's through 80's classics. My 32 year old son could not care less and he went straight for the Lambos', Porsches, and McLarens. Tastes certainly change with generations.
