Do an OSO search -- Lots of info on them here on the board. Team Archer Marine can give you info on rebuild costs and parts.

Don't be scared ! Nothing to it ! I had them on my 402 formula . Take them apart when you get it and replace the bearings and seals . YOu can get them in any GOOD bearing place . (CHEAP)
IF the bearings come apart and brake the housing then you have to get in machined or fabricated like I did . (the hard way !) :(

Go throught it first . It's easy and worth it ! Any quesions e-mail me . I have the manual on disc I can e-mail you back if you want ,just ask ! JOE

What boot said. I rebuilt both of mine, it is very easy and the bearing and seals are off the shelf parts. None of the expensive Merc stuff. I have a manual I can send you if you like.
