No idea about the cash part of it........but that is one fine looking boat ;)

Hey, I have an outlaw...I'll trade right now and "some cash":D :D :D

Damn that's a nice ride. I would throw him 50K and your boat. If he takes it, run like hell. Of course I might start at 35K and the Baja.

None stock power can often greatly reduce the resale value of a boat.

That boat should be about 85K to 100K used, what is yours worth? 40K?

RP,
I thought you were going to bed! I'm up doing **** I should be do'n later with more brain cells working!

Grab the boat..

OG
Have no Idea what your outlaw looks like or what equiptment is has, but that sunsation is one great looking boat,My best friend has one with only 496s naturals and its really a good ride!! about 82mph.
Looks like you better make the deal before the guys in the white coats and butterfly nets find that guy!! A blown 32 for a 24? But then the cash may be the thing that is going to break your balls..:D :D

Hey Les, good to see you still on the board. Haven't seen you around for a while.

OG outlaw, that is a way cool boat. Sunsations make a great boat. It doesn't have quite the freeboard of other 30' boats. but, it's usually faster and who needs freboard when you can skimm the topps fo the waves.
I think 50k would be a steal.

OG Outlaw 24 12-16-2002 07:47 AM

Just had a talk with the gentleman and he is real close to what I was thinking at my boat plus 43k:eek:

OG Outlaw 24, Beautiful boat, Contact OSO member Gary864, That is his old boat and he can fill you in on all the details, I believe that it used to run 100+MPH.

Cincinnati Race 12-16-2002 07:59 AM

Sunsation is a sweet ride!

Raypanic 12-16-2002 08:37 AM

How many hours on the motors? Tyler says 400 - 600 Hours on his setup (thats what he told me 2 years ago) with possibly a blower re-work in between. Are the drives stock bravos? I would nick a few grand each off if they are stock. You will need better drives if so. Tyler usually uses the Max Machine works drives. It does sound like you have a close deal good luck. Why is the seller selling?? These engines can be a little tempremental in the cold weather as they are not EFI. If you have not allready, call Tyler and get all the info on the boat you can. He should be willing to help.

get a copy of the dyno sheets, 700 hp could be at 7000 rpm. 220 hours on motors, do a leak down test. they may have to be refreshed. stock bravos dont like 700 hp for very long, pull the top caps and take a look around.

I'm going to agree with Lee,
95 mph sounds like a very conservative number with 700 hp (that's a first in this business!) 600 hp in these boats should push it into the lower - mid 90's. 700 hp should push it at least to the century mark. I wonder if the current owner has the boost "pulleyed" down to run on cheap gas. Something to ask.

Kanookstr 12-16-2002 09:27 AM

A 24 outlaw and $43K. thats a steal!!!! Even if the engines need to be freshined up!!! Whats a bore job and a new set of pistons and rings when you have the rest of the goodies already on the motor:D :D

BAJA WILL 12-16-2002 01:48 PM

Nice Sunsation, I would say you are moving up very fast:D

Those are Jeffrey Cheng sized pullies on those blowers. I would imagine about 2 pounds of boost with those. :D :D :D :D

Gary864 12-16-2002 05:52 PM

motors dynoed at 650 a motor give or take 10 horse. E-mail me and I can fill you in on this boat, Any yes it has gone over the 100 mark,

RLW 12-16-2002 08:10 PM

Caveat Emptor.
Don't back yourself into a corner because the deal is so attractive. Are you ready to step up to this kind of rig?
Going from a single engine to a blown twin engine setup is a big jump.
Remember, Blowers love gasoline. And don't forget the insurance!

chromecat 12-16-2002 08:38 PM

Sounds like a deal to me too... I have a friend who just sold his sunsation 97 32' with 500 hp's he loved and still loves that boat. I rode in it several times well built and solid. and with 500 hp's it would run 83-85 mph steadily. with that power i wouldn't want to guess. but i guess i'm saying i like the sunsation and i had a 24 outlaw myself. not sure how i personally feel about the blower motors. to me that means work and trouble and i like to play not work my boat..

good luck

Gary864 12-16-2002 09:46 PM

this boat is NOT hard on gas if you just cruise at around 3500 but put the sticks forward and down goes the gauge. I went to put in bay with a buddy who had a 31 scarab with 330's in it and the blower motors used less gas in that Sunsation. When I owned it it did not like a LONG time at idle (15 to 20 minutes). Was still working on that when I sold it.

Gizmo 12-17-2002 12:21 AM

Great looking boat outlaw. I'm in the process of buying a 32 Sunsation also.

Ran-Dom 32 12-17-2002 08:50 AM

Sweet boat - (but I'm brand partial) I went from a 24 Outlaw to a '32 Dominator - (a velocity26 fountain27 in between) I love my sunsation awsome ride in Lake St. Clair - anyways I think I've seen this blown '98 formely named Loud & Obnoxious at a Local Repo yard 2 years or so ago I'm almost98% positive thats the boat - I tried to buy it I think It went for 55-60K back then It was a steal - Just so ya Know be prepared to wrench - blowers motors are a headache - I'f you love to tinker -maybe it's for you - good luck -

jb 12-17-2002 10:07 AM

Any time you can sell brand B go for it.

Back4More 12-17-2002 10:37 AM

If a leakdown test passes, and drain a little out of the drive to see how much metal comes out...then $43K is a go.
