both are purpose built boats.
My preference is the 42 with a cabin and cockpit for 6.

I would also get a gladiator over the gtx...but thats another story.

I had hear that they were going to build a 48 ft GTX but i am not sure. The one in that picture looks bigger then a 43.

hey Scott,
I think it is going to be one of those things where when you have it, you dont use it, but when you dont have it your going to want it.
Ultimately your choice, but I would opt for it.
Helps resale and financing as well

Just a thought, yea the GTX is alot faster, but how fast do you want to go? This 42 does 140+ mph with a couple of 1400hp KE's. and it has a cabin.

They're all sweet !!!!! BTW.... the one up a couple posts is a 47 and Bob Russell doesn't run Eickerts in "Rock-it" anymore.....switched to Sterlings...... Something about "questionable origins of some internal components" ??????
