Everything worked out great ! I was surprised to see you left the wind deflectors on. That project really came out great.I really would like to put simular graphics on mine.
|
Wally, This looks fantastic. I hope to see the interior when it is finished.
What are the 2 holes for just in front of the hatches on the deck? Cordell |
Cordell, the two holes are for air circulation......i've not figured out exactly what they do but best i can tell is that they circulate air down into the cabin and around the gas tanks......there are some covers for them but they were getting painted at the time the pic was taken... As soon as she comes back from Fl i will take some pics of the finnished interior and everything else... :D
|
Great job Wally
You and Sticker Dude did a great job sizing the graphics, looks killer. How easy was it to put the vinyl on? Russ |
Russ, sticker dude does a killer job of application! The vinyl was done in one sheet! The checker board was one sheet....the blue was one solid sheet and the silver under tones were one sheet! It looks next to perfect! No bubbles anywhere! If you need any work done by them ask for Greg....he's sticker dudes little brother and realy knows what he's doing. :)
|

GREAT JOB!:D Boat looks AWESOME

Wally, What a fantastic job you did on that Cig. you should be very proud of your self . I bet you wish you were down there in Miami with your friends to enjoy your work. I bet the Cig. factory would love to see it now. One question i have for you is what exhaust are you using (cmi. stainless marine ?) as i see it comes out above the rubrail. My 28ss must have had the same exhaust at one time (just purchased it a year ago ) and i am thinking about going back to it as i am not to happy about the setup i have now. I can see where the exhaust used to exit on mine .Post a pic. of this if you can when your friend gets back. AGAIN , GREAT JOB

The Cig has an Gil 3.5" dry exhaust that dumps water right at the tips......it was too loud so we installed some Gaffrig Power Tips on it. I dont think they make this exhaust anymore though...we needed some riser gaskets and called Ediie up to take the last 4 they had! :)
Heres a picture of the dusty engines just after the sanding and painting phase.....you can see the exhaust manifolds on them...i have some pics of the engines and risers but not with me right now.... |
as far as i know its always been blue.....maybe they had it painted when they originally did the engines right after they bought it off ya???? But no we didnt do a thing inside the engine compartment other then mount the airpump for the exhaust tips... :D
|
Absolutely stunning!
I just showed it to my girlfriend and told her that is what my Formula will look like when I'm done with it.:) She doesn't believe me.:( I'm about nine months into it, and haven't gotten a whole lot done. |
Any updated pics on the boat you finished Wally?

Wally was down at LOTO with the boat last Summer. I didn't get a real close up look at it, but from what I could see, he did an awesome job.

I'm actually working on a Black Thunder right now...putting new drives on and most likely will be doing a custom stereo install very soon. Found out how to make all those fancy/crazy looking molded sub box's and we are gonna try and fabricate something special for this boat! :D once its all together i will post some pics of that one :) |
Wally: you do some very, very nice work !!! Nuff said.

Milord....bring it up here and tell me what you want dome! :D
heres a taste of the black thunder i'm doing right now too.....i posted these pics before but it was last year some time :) heres the mess the owner left me with when i arrived!! he though he would "Help" by taking the dash appart and taking all the gauges out so all i would have to do is "hook up" the old wires and drop the new dash in!!!!! |
