just recieved my copy and cannot put it down... im halfway though it allready!!!
man some crazy **** went on in miami back then!
and i was living there at the time!

Just ordered Blue Thunder on amazon.com, I ordered it new and payed 60.00. I here it is a great book though. Can't wait to get it.

Hello dreamer ..... I've read em all several times ..... Definitely The King of Thunder Boat Row for me ...... The other two were very silimar in content, but dealt more with the dark side ..... His life as an offshore performance boat designer, builder & racer are the things of interest to me ................... HotSpare....

as for the book... it one of the who killed aronow books... great read but conflicting accounts from what i had heard in the past, but it sounds pretty factual... though any book can sound factual to sombody that doesnt have any first hand knowledge

The book is out of print. That's why it's hard to find and have to go to ebay or used book finders. Have found copies for over $100 or used as little as 20. My library has one, and I bought Speed Kills in PB. Both are interesting...

But the History is in King of Thunder....

I had read Speed Kills when it was first released, lent it out and never got it back. Looked around on ebay for it and did not have much luck....someone always got there first. My wife gave me a new copy for an anniversary present, she later told me she paid 160.00 for it!:eek:

I`ve read it several times, really enjoyed it! Some real wacky corrupt stuff went on then!!! and many people had thier eyes closed while some weird chit was goin' down!!!

I believe it was pulled from print because some of the events that unfolded were very imbarrasing to, at the time, Vice President Bush:eek: :chimp:

The worst part is that people are making quite a profit off the used Speed Kills and Blue Thunder Books. When the Apache Thread started, I had to get the Speed Kills book. Purchased a used copy on half.com for like $40 plus shipping. When I opened up the cover, the book was stamped with a used books store price of $3 dollars :eek: .

I wanted to buy Blue Thunder, but they were $60 - $80 on half.com the last time I checked. I was under the impression that Speed Kills was closer to the truth since the books was published several years after Blue Thunder, and the other had the additional information that had developed since. What I thought was interesting is that those that were really close, never actual made statements for the books.

Speed Kills was not well written, but I could not put it down because of the history.

man i got ripped!! i paid 100 for it on amazon used! but syill well worth it
