Engine Power Polls - Summary of Results So Far

Each poll has a nice bar graph so I won't do that here. As of a few minutes ago the totals were as follows:

single engine - 172 people with101,900 HP, 592 HP/person

twin engine - 155 people with 197,800 HP, 1276 HP/person

triple engine - 29 people with 65,400 HP, 2255 HP/person

For a grand total of of 356 people with 569 engines and 365,100 HP!! That's an average of 1024 HP per member.

The average single engine is 592 HP.
The average twin engine is 638HP.
The average triple engine is 751 HP.
The average engine over all boats is 641 HP.

The race for most popular engine HP range is as follows:

400-500 HP, 128 engines, 22.5%

500-600 HP, 111 engines, 19.5%

600-700 HP, 81 engines, 14.2%

Sorry you guys with more than one boat can only vote once. I can't edit the post now to allow for multiple votes, only a moderator can do that. So just put down your biggest numbers.

Come on, there's more than 7000 members on this board. Everybody post!! We'll hit 1,000,000 HP by Christmas.:D

The average HP per engine may be a little high since I am using the top of the range for the calculations. But the majority of members are definitely running high performance engines, 500 HP and up.

Still only about 2.5% of the membershop have voted. Too early to call the most popular engine HP range.

Over 250,000 HP and only 3.5% of members have voted. That's a hell of a fleet! Do you think OSO members could negotiate a discount gas card with one of the major oil companies?

I voted a bit high, 190 hp and I said 200.
