Jon, count your blessings ... consider yourself lucky to have your dad. Like Tonto, I lost my dad in 1994 to an aneurysm of his aorta. He was only 62 years old and FULL of life. He was a boater and my friend. Everything I did, I would wonder if he would do the same.

People say time will heal, but in my case, the wound is still wide open.

I wish he were here now :(

And, I miss my son :(

Well he is back home. Some wierd bug that I guess is going around. On the way to the hospital his feever spiked to 104!!!Once he got to the hospital he got some meds and they have him feeling better and want him to watch his diet. I just want to say thank you for all the well wishes from all and lets hope this was just a wierd scare and nothing serious.

Jon

That is good news. Glad to hear he is alright.

Guys thanks again for all the sapport. I just talked to him and he is feeling better. Still running a feever but said he feels better. He has always to me been the best father a guy can have. Tough when he should be and fun when we needed it. I can look back on life and say he was ALWAYS fair to me. I am just totally not ready to say goodbye and thankfully I got more time :D:D

Jon,
I hope you have had a chance to tell your father you love him and how much he means to you. I got up the nerve to tell mine a month before he died very unexpectedly and was so glad that I did. I would have preferred of course that he lived much longer because it really made us closer. I tell my wife and daughter every day, but my parents were never comfortable with such things. A little scare sometimes brings out the love in everyone. Glad to hear he is doing better.

Next time you come out this way we should go for a ride. You two (and kids too if you have any) can stay with us if it is convenient for you. We have plenty of private space for you.

Gary (Cig1) and Tonto,
first time I heard of an aneurysm my sister's best friend died while she was a senior in high school. My mother lived through one at 50 and so did my sister's husband. They sure have a way of changing everything quickly.

Tom
