Where to sled in New York?How far a drive from Mich.?

where do you live at that makes it 10-12 to the UP? I live in the Detroit area and and make Munising in 7-7 1/2.
I had some friends that rode the Tug hill NY area a few weeks ago. they had to pick up a sled from D & D . They said it was about an 8 hour drive.
It looks like NY is about the only place to ride at the moment.
I'm done with chasing the snow. My parents have a cabin between Lewiston and Gaylord and I will wait til there is snow there. If not then I saved more money for the boat!

Awesome, My 'guestamnet' of 10-12 hrs. was to Ironwood(it's been awile) I just want to ride this thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 7 hr's isn't too bad to NY.. Where do I want to look? Any info appreciated/ Thanks guy's Happy New Year. Oh yeah, do they have trail permits like Mich.? both sleds are registered till'05 Mich.Thx.
