OT: Help finding a custom truck
I am looking for a new (or like new) 2002 or 2003 4 door 2500 HD 4x4 custom truck.
I might also consider a dually if one was really cool! I have ordered a new one, but if I can buy one already done, it would be great! I want a lifted truck with 33-37" tires, leather interior, all the goodies. If anyone knows of one for sale, please pm or post a link. An example was one I think was posted here, black with flames dually 'burban that was killer. Thanks to all in advance! Merry Christmas to me!:D :D ;) |
Look under liftedtrucks.com. I bought my lifted Excursion there a year ago. A month ago we test drove a lifted 2002 4-door 2500, 35 in. tires, diesel. 19,000 miles, $38,000. Nice truck.

Thanks. Sounds like a great starting point.
Anyone else? Any for sale privately? |
Check out
http://www.winegardner.org/Chevy/Pages/customshop.html The pictures are of some of the work they do. They also do a ton of lifted trucks with paint, chrome, suspension, motor, wheels, sound, DVD, TV, satellite, whatever you want. My brother in law runs the place and is a great guy to deal with. I have a 99 Tahoe Sport 4x4 that I use as a custom show truck. It has spent over 90% of its life in my air conditioned showroom car stereo store. Truck is supercharged, has wrapped headers, head and intake work, as well as Hotchkis suspension, custom wheels and or course.... about 20,000 in custom sound system fiberglassed into rear. Truck has 18,000 miles, looks and runs much better than brand new.
Asking $34,000 0BO The only reason to sell it is that everyone in the area has seen this truck so we need a new show truck to inspire added attention. This truck has the best of everything. Anyone interested call (813)882-8477 or email to [email protected] |
try hudiburg chevrolet they have a 03 crewcab s/b yellow. and a blue one, both have 18 inch rims lift kits leather . i think they are trailmaster conversions or regency. they are way cool looking.:D :D there in midwest city okla. 737-6641

The Suburban with flames I believe is still available I will call the guy and find out. I think it can be had for $45,000. Considering the equipment that would be a steal. It was a show truck for a customizing company.

SummerObsession,
If you are looking to buy new I would just buy I loaded LT and build it yourself. It will be much cheaper then buying it done from a dealer. If you're looking at used then it's a moot point, you could probably find a fair deal from an individual. Stay away from factory conversions like Trailmaster, Regency and so on. Zero resale value!!!!! You'd be better of buying a Yugo. Buck #183 |
For y'all that don't know, I work at Sheehy Auto Stores in MD. We carry ALOT of trucks with some really cool conversions on them(1500, crew cab 2500 and 3500's, Tahoes and Suburbans) and an assortment of Ford and Dodge stuff too!! We can also order one to suit your needs.
Let me know if you still need help finding a truck!! Steve 301-627-5700 or 240-299-0995 |
Where is the picture of the Burban you were talking about??
SO, Hope you find one before spring that way you could do a "Test Tow" up to Lake Perry (North of Topeka) and hand out with the Lake Perry Gang. It's pretty cool for a Kansas Lake nothing like LOTO but it's closer!! Plus I'd like to hear the Full Story of your Key West experience LIVE!!!! |
You need to talk to kevin at Winegardner Chevy ,2003 chevy CC 4x4 dually with custom paint and 22.5 wheels BAD A$$ truck , They are in FT. Washington Maryland I think there number is 301-292-6500 ,

The guys name is Rob Skeoch The Email is: [email protected] and number is (480) 926-1448. He was at about $46,000 when I talked to him. I'm sure you could get it for less. I would be more interested but I have too many damn vehicles:p OG:cool: |
Thanks, man! I would jump all over this if it were a Duramax.
I wonder how the whippled 8100 would do dragging 12,000 lbs down the interstate at 80+ mph? Anyone have experiences? |
I have a 2002 Yukon XL 3/4 Ton with the 8100. They won't offer the diesel until 2004 or 2005. I love pulling with it. I have towed about 14,000lbs with it and was very impressed. I can only imagine how much nicer it would be to have dual wheels:D . The 8100 is not for those who are skeered of the petro stations:hothead: But I would recommend it to anyone !!
It does not compare to my "Real" towing truck:D :p ;) OG:cool: |

SO,
I can give you something to start with. I have the 8100/M32 4spd Auto; in my Avalanche 2500 (same exact truck under the {:D ugly :D} skin as the Suburban 2500. I have towed my 7000+ lbs at 92-93mph on I-95 without any troubles. Whether you are getting the dually sub or not, definately go for airbags in the rear. This is the single best addition I have made to my truck. |
