3.5 lbs per HP add on a chubby 190lbs rider (me) and it knocks it down significantly. 5.4 lb per HP

Formula boats (as in Seebold, etc..)

hull wt: 240#
batt & fuel cell: 30#
rigging & access: 80#
Motor: 375#
Driver (a much lighter driver than I): 175#

total wt: 900# (w/ driver - no fuel)
appx hp: 400

power to weight: 2.25 lb/hp

**********************
I'm surprised at how light the Unlimiteds are... Just think if they hadn't outlawed those 4500hp turbines ....

How about the Callan cat;

12000lbs race weight (w/ driver, throttleman & fuel)/ 2x T55L7C's @ 2800hp = 2.14lb/hp.

The power can be easily turned up to 3400hp each. Now imagine, 12000lbs/6800hp = 1.76lb/hp.

Weight is their friend...

Steve:

There's your problem..........There have been numerous studies that show unlimited hydros are considerably faster when running with fuel.....................than without.

Happy New Year....and it's.... MR. ......Chump to you.
