Default Boat Models since I live in the great white north!

Well like alot of us that live in the north, we have to jerk off to MPG's of Norts and others and make CD's of wav files for our ride home and to work and the rest
but I have recently been looking around for models of offshore boats and such and seems there is spit out there.
does anyone know anything about a company that makes models of boats?
Dumas makes a scarab that is 55 inches long, and I see someone makes apache's but dont know who
(84 inch apache???)
Dont care about the remote control crap, I would just buy it to put it together and display it and air brush it.
Dont need more hobbies that run me into the poor house.
Anyone have any information that I can use?
Thanks
Jason

I am looking at the 47" Scorpion from Ballantine Hobbies that runs 50mph out of the box.

I also saw an original Miami Vice Scarab KV model from 1980-something on ebay for a few bucks the other day.

You have any photos Srobak?
Did you build it as a model or to actually dump in the drink and run it?
I just want to display it not run it
how much is involved building it? Got any photos?

I was actually thinking of building 2 of those big block engines (clear plastic ) that they sell and maybe put them in side by side or if they dont fit, do a stagger setup and put 2 dummy drives on the back???
just something to display

Jay,

We make a model of our boats in Fiberglass for display only. Graupner makes a model of our 24 and the 28 Rain X batboat that won many races.

Thats really cool Chris

HA, might be able to lease this one from you and race it?
Good deal man!
Should get the racers that lease your boats a duplicate one to take home with them to remember the experience of the whole thing.
I would definately
