No never seen one before... what is it??? What does it do? :D
Dont have them down here in FLORIDA.

Dave1972 01-06-2003 09:58 PM

That ROCKS!

Bo Knows,

That sled looks awesome. I've got an XCR 800 and I really have been a Yamaha fan for years. 117 with some left? How was the acceleration? I've heard that they are torque monsters!!! Nice picture...I just wish we had some snow over this way to ride on. We're at 4" for the year...at least a foot from normal at this time of the year. Wednesday the 8th is supposed to be 50+ degrees:( :(

Nice sled and let us know the actual top speed once you get it broke in and wound up!! How accurate is the speedo just out of curiosity?

Steve 1 01-06-2003 10:03 PM

Chris I agree maybe you drive it in the Swamp??Does not look very "Florida"Like! How do you Air Condition it?:D

Playn 01-06-2003 11:26 PM

next time you'll have to find a bigger lake!

nice looking sled :D

Dave

Speedo was reading 129, radar gun says 117, just like boating !! LOL !! And very funny you Florida guys ! I know it's not quite as exciting as boating but us Northern guys have to have something thrilling to do during the winter months. Come on up here & try it sometimes, It's quite a rush. The fastest I've ever gone on water !!

Nice, If we had a winter like this every year in NY Id get one:p

speedrush 01-07-2003 07:59 PM

Just 1 question: How hard is it to drive one of those things?

imongo 01-07-2003 08:12 PM

No, I get it. It is a jet ski! But, how the hell does it push water? Guess that thing underneath is some sort of paddle wheel... And the ski thingies up front... bet they are a handful in the chop!

Mongo (in the Virgin Islands, 87 air, 82 water (and that is getting cold by our standards!)

Bo Knows 01-07-2003 08:47 PM

Speedrush

Easier to drive than a boat & just as dangerous. 5 fatalities in NYS already this year.

Imongo

Believe it or not these things go for miles over open water !!

OK i must confess I have been on a few sleds before.. I DID grow up in NY... sheeesh... lol... Next door neighbor had arctic cats.... if i remember correctly like 6 of them... He raced them all over the place as well as trail riding... The father was sctually killed on his sled in like 97 i think... i cant remember.. hit head on with another sled at night on sacadoga lake.

Bo,
Great looking sled. 4 strokes are the future of snowmobiling. I know alot of people around here have dogged that sled quite a bit because of it's extra weight but I have talked to some people that rode them and they said the the sled handles awesome. What do you think ?
I'm at a point right now where I might actually get out of the sport , I've got two sleds and an enclosed trailer that are just sitting there and it looks like they will be for a while.
I really love trail riding but I'm not going to travel state to state just to chase the snow.
Well good luck with the sled and keep the track side down !!:D

great... can I use them???

Scarab

Sled handles great and you can't really feel the extra weight whe riding it. The 4 stroke sound and the two pipes sticking out of the rear make it !! Dual exhaust on a snowmobile, who would have ever thought .

Bo,
That's what I figured , they have the center of gravity so low in that sled it should handle good.
I hear that Bender performance has a header and turbo in the works for it !!

Scott,
There's no snow , where are you going to use them ? If your still not working you should be down in the Key's having a good time on that boat !!!
