Did it flip off the trailer or what? A low bridge? Collision?

Sydwayz 01-07-2003 01:25 PM

It looks like a rollover of some type.

bouyhunter 01-07-2003 01:30 PM

to me that looked like body impact against the windsheild - also the way the bolster is crushed. - doesn't look like a good saturday afternoon spin in the harbor.

Tantrum 01-07-2003 01:32 PM

Id say the trailer went over. The gouges on the top by the rear hatch could either be from a stap or where they grabbed it w/ the tow truck to right it.
Either way a reeeaallllyy bad day.

riskybusiness 01-07-2003 02:18 PM

Definitely musta' rolled off the trailer.:(

Ron P 01-07-2003 02:48 PM

Nah, the seats would have been torn up.

I'd say a bridge closed on it and pushed it straight down until the bridge went back up.

Very strange damage.

Tantrum 01-07-2003 03:04 PM

Id buy the bridge idea except for the skeg on the drive is broken.
Maybe the water was very shallow.

We almost got squashed years and years ago in a 1970's something Dolphin. The boat had awful shifting problems and we were trying to hold our position in front of a railroad bridge in the Pt Pleesant inlet. Boat stalled and the rip started pulling us right into the bridge..pretty bad. Then we hear the, ding ding ding, oh sh!t!!! Like a big monster trying to bite us. Although I was young and it probably remember it to be worse than it was I bet I could pass a lie detector test it was within inches. Ron P Im sure you know the bridge well.

Very strange,,, how do you crush a bloster without tearing it,,, something had to drop on it,,,,,, maybe a rack storage accident?

freckles 01-07-2003 03:07 PM

My guess is a mishap at a rack storage place--either the boat above it fell or a forklift came down on it or the forklift dropped a boat on it. Something like that.
