This was right before Frank spun this boat at like 80 or 90 MPH and broke a scag off a #6!!

And you have to love this shot of Dman airing out his gun.......This pic ranks up there in one of the best pics I've seen!

Some points.

#48 Rocky....was built two years before Jesse James and was considerably different....not a "clone".

#8 from Italy was actually the original, John McCall built, Peters designed wood Apache Cat, that Ben Kramer and Bobby Saccenti
stuffed in Rochester, NY in 1986.

The #11 Velocity was wood/fibreglass composite...much like the Conquests

The Colibre/Elf is the "chineless Vee bottom" I referred to that killed Didier Pirone...........

Don Johnson won Super boat class that year.....and for some reason I am remembering David Street and Smitty winning Open Class in the Wildcat........ But I also remember Stevie winning big in Key West....Wasn't there a UIM winner and a U.S. winner or somesuch that year?????

I've never been really high on drag boats, but that shot is one of the baddest (cool) photos I've ever seen.
