1/10/03 Manatee news, TGIF
Which is it? A good day for counting Manatees or a BAD day?
http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/...me%2Dheadlines http://www.floridatoday.com/!NEWSROOM/localstoryA40272A.htm Of course of our local, LIBERAL, TREE-HUGGING newspaper has this editorial this morning! This newspaper is constantly biting the hand that feeds it!!:hothead: http://www.floridatoday.com/!NEWSROOM/opedstoryA40258A.htm MD PS On FL. Today links only link to front page, please go to editorial section and read "No retreat" And see the Local section and read "Winds hinder sea cow survey" Sorry about the 1/2 link crap! Jsut another reason for me to HATE that newspaper!:hothead: |
Florida Today sucks! :mad;
Here's a quote from the last link: "Here's another fact: The overwhelming weight of scientific research shows that slow-speed zones and sanctuaries are the best way to protect the mammals. " Just yesterday, the same newspaper was reporting that "It is obvious that Manatee Zones are not working" :mad: I wonder what the bogus count will be this year? :rolleyes: |
BD,
I too wonder what the count will be? If it's low the $MC will be screaming EXSTINCTION is here, BUT if the count is high, $MC will say the count is a useless indicator to gauge the Manatee by! MD:hothead: |
Imagine going to a bar and you get in a conversation with a hot girl and she asks you what you do for a living and your response is "...I count Sea Cows."
|
Better than telling her you go around looking for whales on the beach.
