they lost too much money . the first year the APBA had to bail out the twisted girls. ( they thought they were big race promoters) . they just did not see it as a money making event. and we all know how mike likes his money.

I asked this question to APBA Offshore and Ted Zoli informed me that the Mayors office simply did not want the race. They just don't care.

He indicated what a nice venue Cleveland was but had no support from the city.

They wonder why no one wants to come down to the city.

It must not be a big money maker like the loser sports teams.

I like the Indians but I grew up a Steelers fan. My wife and friends all try to change me to the Browns but for some reason I just can't do the switch. I watched the game last week at a friends house with 20 Browns fans. Did you ever see the comercial with the one guy in the bar surrounded by all the others dressed in team colors? I got to do my little "Woo" at the end of the game!

I'm going to hit the Cleveland show sometime and probably on the weekend. I've been watching the thread about it.

As far as the race in Cleveland. It really bummed me out also. It was great having the big guns come so close. I guess you don't relize how fortunate you are till its gone.

I will be trying to make the GLOPRA races in East Lake and Fairport. I also thought I read some where Sandusky will be the September date.

I also might think about doing the Cinncinati race on Fathersday.
I've kind of been following it to see how it progresses.

cruboss,

The girls lost alot of there own money too,but they tried.
If you think you can do better Mike A is always looking for
race sites, then you and the girls can compare loses on a first
year event.
Everybody thinks they can do better, but very few try.
