Stupid Cash Question
 

I have some cash I need to deposit into my bank account. Problem is my bank to far of a drive.

Question: Can I go to another bank and convert the cash into a bank draft I can mail to my bank?

It's the down payment for my upgrage:D If I keep it at home it's bound to disappear into home upgrades or something:rolleyes:

Send it to me, I'll take care of everything!!!!!

You should be able to purchase a money order or cashiers check. If it is over $10K you have paperwork to fill out, even if it isn't you may have a suspicious activity report filed on you.

Large amounts of cash are going to be scrutinized because of drug $$ and the patriot act. Also banks are suppose to know their customers now and it is making it more difficult to deal in cash. You may want to purchase smaller money orders ffrom several banks. This will cost you more as there is almost always a charge.

yeah runngin to every "checks cashed" in town to buy like 10 money orders isn't sketchy at all.....
