You can make them sound good if you make sure your box is properly sized.

Are they good quality though? Someone told me they were in Mercedes before they switched to Bose.
|
Yes they can sound good and are of decent quality. They are not the best out ther but depending on the deal you are working on then they can be worth your while.

600$ is what im asking for the thing and he wants to trade speakers. They add up to over 600 i know, but i dont want some pieces of crap. I figure i can sell a bunch of it, no car should have 6 subs in it.

I have had many pair of them. Watch the magnet size. the first pair of 6x9's I had kicked ass. Then a few years later, I got some for my new truck and they had smaller magnets and they didn't handle anywhere near the same wattage and were not as strong. If they have different levels still, get the biggest ones they have.

I think you need get better speakers for a boat. I am an authorized Blaubunkt dealer and would recommend the pcx series if you are looking for lighted speakers. They are clear and many people mount LEDs behind for a neat look. Blau introduced lighted rings last weekend at the CES show. I think in an offshore boat application, that the magnet will break off of the speaker basket as they are not a marine design. I also think that at high outdoor volumes that you will blow them.
For $600 I can sell you real marine products that you can be proud of. I have many choices such as BAAB, Bazooka, and many more. For subs I recomend Rockford Fosgate. I do have a new Blau amp and sub on my store clearance table as well as many other items. Feel free to call me at 813-882-8477 or reply to [email protected] and I will show you some real deals. |
I'f I'm not mistaken blaupunkt used to be a very good quality german stereo Co. until they were baught by someone, maybe sony, and now they are just mid line audio.

Blaupunkt
Blaupunkt Is owned by Bosch (My little cube here at Bosch is just down the hall from there office). I don't get any deals on them so I can't tell ya how they would hold up in a boat :hothead: .

Not for a boat, going to hook them up in a car if i ever get one, then sell the rest.

for $600, get 2 -12 inch Solobarics. Have those in my 740I with a 1200 watt Kicker sub-amp. It is all you need.
|
I have a smoking deal on 10 Solobarics at $169.50 brand new in the box. Regarding Blaupunkt, many of their radios are still Bosch while others are not. Some are considered very high end while others are not so hot.
If you are looking for a Blaupunct radio, speakers or navigation system I have blowout deals. I have sealed fiberglass subwoofer enclosures in Red Black and White, Babb speakers in all sizes, Rockford Fosgate amps at prices that cant be beat as well as many home theatre products. When looking for a deal make sure to mention OSO. Andy Buzz |
I have had Blau in the past. I was not impressed by their 6X9s. I sent them back to Crutchfield in exchange for Cerwin Vega, and I was much happier. I did like the Blau 4x6 plate component set speakers; and their Las Vegas head unit was nice for about 2 years before I started having CD troubles. Sold the truck will all the stuff in it.

run an m.b.quart component sys. and 3 JL 12 w6's with the new JL amp. that's a sweet setup. sounded great in my old car.

I have there San Francisco tuner in my car but went with Kenwood speakers the Blaupunkts just didnt have the frequency range or sensitivity I was looking for. Their radios and amps kick it though. Many features and ease of operation very user friendly simple to operate.
