If you do get a Chevy 1500 get a 4:10 ratio. The 3.73's are standard and don't pull very well.

Basically you get better low end power, for pulling, which leads less top end speed.

Lower the ratio the more top end ........

Watch out for the dodge 2wheel drive half tons my little sister had one and it was a pos. I think it was a 01 had nothing but problems with it and was worthless when she traded it this summer. I'd say look for a late model chevy-gm 1500 x-cab with a 5.7.. That xtra cab is great to throw your duffel bags in look for a 3 or 4 door..

I have made the same promise to my little girl. I would want as much metal around her as possible. Possibly an M-1 tank, only kidding they would'nt sell me one. So I think we will go for a Dodge 1500 4 door so she has room for her freinds and family. Small v-8 so she can tow a horse or boat (she likes both too) around. Plus her mom has one and she loves it.:)

UT: Are you looking to adopt another child. Although I am a little older than the rest of you kids I would make a good son (Dont believe a word out of my Fathers mouth on that one) I dont eat alot, I can chop wood,and put your boat on the trailer without running over the fenders on a windy day, and will find you one of the best "Old Folks "homes that your social security can pay for within the next few years. Your friends will not heckle you about adopting an older child. You can lie to them about my real age and I am sure my maturity level will match. I will send the paperwork over ASAP. All I ask for in return is a room at La Casa De UT, Collage, and a 2003 F350 4 door super duty raised abot 6" with a diamond plate tool box and bed guard. Preferrably black.
