Troutly made a great point. I honestly think the people that have the modst fun at the runs are the Newbies. For new drivers it is nerve racking...Where do we go? What do we do at the stops? When do we go again?
But after the run there are the ones that are jazzed up and saying theyt cant wait for next year.
And putting someone on your boat that hasnt run before is the greatest of all. The noise, speed and excitment of the whole run is something they will never forget. Maybe the next year they will run it in there own boat. After all, my favorate part of the run is watching them grow every year!

IDRPSTF making the event easy begins long before the start with information on a website or mailers listing ramps, party info/locations, hotels, as well as any pertinent information to facilate smoothly coming to town. Having a party and captains meeting the night before really helps us to get the course information out before the boat hits the water...
