Theres always somebody who has more money than brains. Actually, there are lots of them.
|
That boat is a x customs boat. The way to tell is the railing on the front of the boat used to walk up to the front. I would think that the top would be to keep the agents out of the sun as well as protect them
|
taht what i was thinking. Seeing as the driver woudl usually be carrying an ar-15 its pretty badass setup.
Busta smuggler, take his stash and baot, make it as fast interdiction machine..... |
Exactly, the government is the biggest "more money than brains" LOL

Switch on dash says: Flood lights/Blue Lights

THe Coast Guard was using something like this down in the carribean. I remember they had light blue hulls though. They were using two 502's. They had those wild seating setups with belts and all. Looked like a roller coaster ride.
|
looks x customs. you can see where they had those sweet standup seats in the cockpit.
|
STITZ
they grab a lot of boats off the bad guys and refit them.:fish: :fish: :fish:

I think the two I'm refering to were actual new units. We were keeping track of them on radar as an exercise. They were being tested. Once it was all over, we met up with them for a minute. It was nice hearing the cackling of the V8's out there in the middle of nowhere. Ship's don't usually sound to interesting. Atleast until the turbines are fired...

Hey, when your making run after run to the islands to help the black market stay in business you need a little shade. You really don't think the tool boxes were for tools, do you?
|
I have some VHS of a boat that we came across(running the white bricks) down there. It was also about this size and type. It had two Italian diesels and Jet drives. The interior was very simple. The boat was well used.

COAST GUARD FOUNTAIN
B-40 I think you nailed it.
We had 2 42's down here a few years ago and the top looks really familiar. They did have 415 502's and they could not keep engines in them. They boys at Global Marine did all the service work, engine and drive rebuilds. It looks like Customs is back with midnights running quad 250 and 225 outboards. Works sooo much better and you can get the boats back in service within hours instead of days when you tear something up. Brad |
cool boat
|
i agree , ex-customs boat used to be stationed in Puerto rico and they had a bunch there.
|
I pulled out that video last night. I couldn't tell what make the drug boat was. It was called Tazmainian Devel on the transom. Kind of strange when you consider that the boat was owned by some Columbian fellas. The jet drives were monsters. There was an aluminum or stainless bar that shot out off the transom to the end of the drives and wrapped from either side with a small cat walk up the center. This boat was set up for running the reefs. Too bad they ran out of fuel. Their wallets were floating near by the boat when we came on scene.

A boat or ship can have TWO "ropes". The "bell rope" attaches to the ships bell and the "hangman's rope" is usually attached to a yardarm and should be used on whoever did that! Later. --- Jer
